HARARE – Sean Williams, the veteran Zimbabwean cricketer, will today announce his retirement from international T20 cricket following the just ended tour of Bangladesh which has finished with an eight-wicket consolation win for the African side, SportsCast can reveal.
The 37-year-old batsman and spinner has played 81 T20Is for his country since 2006, interestingly debuting against Bangladesh.
Bulawayo-born Williams featured for Zimbabwe in the eight-wicket win in Mirpur on Sunday, bowling just one over and not required to bat. Brian Bennett (70) and Sikandar Raza (72) powered Zimbabwe to victory.
Zimbabwe lost the series 4-1.
