HARARE – Former Zimbabwe international rugby player and thriving sports agent Gerald Sibanda has wished the team well ahead of its epic clash with rivals Namibia on Wednesday.
The Sables take on Namibia on Wednesday in the semi-finals of an African World Cup qualification tournament in France, prompting Sibanda to post:
“The whole nation is behind you The Sables.
“We are behind you Victor .T.D Mupunga, and proud of your performances and your development.
“Semis, Let’s go 💪🏼🏉🏆”
Sibanda is the founder of sports firm Athletes Sphere, which has quite a few Zimbabwean sportsmen on its books, including Sables prop Victor Mupunga.
Ex-backliner Sibanda is also in charge of the Zimbabwe-based academy of Spanish top-flight football side Real Betis, with whom his company has a twinning arrangement.
The Zimbabweans reached the semis following a hard-fought 38-11 win over the Ivory Coast last Friday.
