WINDHOEK, Namibia – Zimbabwe’s women cricket team beat Namibia by seven wickets on Tuesday, completing a double over the hosts, to win a triangular series also involving East Africans Uganda.
The Lady Chevrons bowled out Namibia for a measly 70 in just 133 overs.
Nomvelo Sibanda was the pick of the Zimbabwe bowlers with 5-14 while Precious Marange and Anesu Mushangwe also bowled superbly for to retain figures of 2-16 and 2-8 respectively. Michelle Mavunga took one wicket.
Captain Mary-Anne Musonda top-scored for Zimbabwe as the Lady Chevrons chased Namibia’s total without breaking a sweat.
