HARARE – Top Zimbabwean tennis player Courtney Lock has excited his followers on X after posting a picture of his father in an old national team tracksuit from the 1986 Davis Cup competition.

Martin Lock, his father and a former Tennis Zimbabwe president, was a member of the African side’s Davis Cup team in the 80s, a mantle he has passed on to this two sons Courtney and Benjamin.

The vintage unbranded tracksuit is in green colour, has a simple look with multiple white stripes on the sleeve of the jacket, and the traditional Zimbabwean sport badge on the side of the chest.

Martin Lock (middle) is a big supporter of his two sons, whose kit is now being supplied by rising local clothing manufacturer Pfeka.

Courtney Lock posted the picture ahead of Zimbabwe’s Davis Cup World Group 2 play-off away to Hong Kong this weekend.

The two Lock brothers are in Zimbabwe’s team alongside Benedict Badza and Tinotenda Mutetwa.

His post drew a response to Zimbabwe national team cricketer Ryan Burl: “This is good so good! Incredible kit that.”
