HARARE – At cricket grounds around her hometown Harare, Panashe Magadu not only is a familiar face, but a pretty one.

Panashe is a cricket lover and she’s is lucky that she gets to work for the game she loves, earning an extra income.

The 20-year-old is a score-keeper, or scorer, as they’re commonly known in her home country.

In a numbers game like cricket – Panashe and her colleagues are always busy on duty when the action is on – meticulously recording the statistics at schools, league, social and all the way up to international level.

But she also dabbles in modelling, another favourite pastime of hers. And she needs your votes!

Panashe is participating alongside 20 other beauties in the 2024 Miss Nature Zimbabwe, a pageant that “promotes conservation and sustainability.”

It has three different categories: Miss Environment, Miss Earth and Miss Eco-tourism.

Panashe is aiming for the Miss Environment title of the contest.

A one-time cricket player herself for Mashonaland Eagles, her country’s biggest franchise in the game, Panashe also studied tour guide and guest relationship management at the University of Zimbabwe.

For now, focus is on Miss Nature Zimbabwe!
