HARARE – Brendan Galloway has been ruled out of Zimbabwe’s opening Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya and Cameroon early September after the Plymouth Argyle defender picked a hamstring injury.
The 28-year-old fullback has had limited appearances for Zimbabwe since making his debut in 2021, but has made an impression each time he has represented the Warriors.
Harare-born Galloway, who featured on a few occasions for Everton in the English Premier League, represented England at youth level.
The Warriors will open against Kenya at Uganda’s Mandela National Stadium in Kampala on 6 September before taking on Cameroon as the same venue four days later.
