HARARE – Tino Kadewere says he is “happy” to be back in training with La Liga club Mallorca after recovering from an injury he sustained in September, a month after joining the Spanish top-flight outfit.
The Zimbabwean striker, who signed on loan from French Ligue 1 club Lyon in August, started light training with the rest of the Mallorca squad at the beginning of October as the medical staff at the club continue to monitor him for a full comeback.
The 26-year-old Warriors forward suffered an injury to the quadriceps of his right leg during training.
“Give thanks to God for his amazing work. So happy to be back with the guys,” wrote Kadewere on his Facebook page on Thursday.
Real Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre remarked how he couldn’t wait to have the Zimbabwean back in action, joking that he was waiting for Kadewere like “rain in May.”
