HARARE – Multi-talented Zimbabwean sporting prodigy Daniel Erasmus has also proved to be a genius in the classroom.

The vice-captain of Zimbabwe’s Under-18 rugby team has recorded four ‘A’ grades in four science subjects in the 2022 Cambridge examinations – Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

Erasmus was deputy head-boy of St John’s College in Harare in his final year and has been accepted at Harvard University in the United States for the Premedical Programme under the early Decision process.

The gifted centre was a key player in Zimbabwe’s Under-18 side at the 2022 SA Rugby Academy Week in Cape Town.

Rugby appears to be his forte, but cricket is another easy option for the admirably versatile teenager from Harare.

Erasmus was one of the players to watch at the St George’s College T20 tournament last year.

At St John’s, he also excelled in cross-country, tennis and a wide range of other sporting codes.
