HARARE – Zimbabwe midfielder Marshall Munetsi, who is strongly linked with a move from French side Reims to English Premiership club Brighton & Hove Albion, has appeared to place the deal in divine intervention after the 26-year-old reacted to an inspiring post by American Evangelist Joel Osteen on Sunday.
Munetsi has been reported to be on the radar of EPL club Brighton, for seven million Pounds, his worth according to set figures. Reports however claim that Reims, who in May extended Munetsi’s contract by three years, will seek in the region of 15 million Pounds for Brighton to secure the Zimbabwean holding midfielder’s signature.
It seems Munetsi is so keen on the move to England, arguably world football’s best competition, such that famous preacher Osteen’s post on Sunday on Twitter seemed to speak into his career.
Tweeted Osteen: “Doubt will whisper, ‘You don’t have what it takes. How could you accomplish that dream?” No, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. You were created for this. God uses underestimated people.’”
The very religious Munetsi, in response, retweeted the post with two pairs of prayerful and thankful hands.
