JOHANNESBURG – Lesotho recorded a shock 2-0 win away to Zimbabwe in Group C of the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers in Johannesburg on Friday.

The win temporarily took Lesotho, on five points, to first position on the table after three games.

Zimbabwe, who have two points, remain bottom on the six-team table.

Rethabile Rasethuntsa opened the scoring for Lesotho in the 21st minute before Thabantso Jane made it 2-0 on 31 minutes.

Later on Friday, Nigeria’s Super Eagles will entertain South Africa in Uyo. – Agencies
